Description
The Wizard Compact DS evolved from the already successful Compact
BPV which had already held the worlds DS speed record three times
in 2003. When Gavin Baskin went 187 mph with it at Parker in April, then Dave Reese went 207 mph
at the Slot in N Cal in May, then Joe Wurtz took the record with the Compact in
July at Parker. later on when Nick Stong took the Compact BPV to 226 it became
apparent that the Compact BPV was not strong enough to keep up with
the current speeds. Nick knew this airframe was capable of taking the
speed record back if it was made stronger so he worked closely with Milan,
the talented builder,
to make it strong enough for insane DS speeds.
Nick and the builder Milan worked together to make an incredible
strong airframe which they called the Wizard Compact DS. It uses
C93+C163+C256+UMS high modules carbon through out the plane. The
spar is triple the size with a double joiner system, span
loading ballast, the strength was increased all the way around, the strength of the pre-installed horns
was increased, as well as the amazingly
built control rods. On top of all this the fit and finish is truly
amazing. Everything fits perfectly the horns are pre-installed with
incredible strong and clean control rods. Milan is truly a master
builder and craftsman his build quality is very similar to Jaro
Muller.
Skip Miller Models is honored to be the exclusive dealer of Milan's
incredible work.
